Are you looking for a unique experience at a historic location in Venice? Talent and art combine perfectly at this classical music concert in San Vidal Church.
Description
Immerse yourself in a magical atmosphere right in the heart of Venice at San Vidal Church, which dates back to the 11th century. The church's interior features masterful works by Venetian painters, making it an ideal location for a concert. Notably, it is said to be the burial site of the Venetian composer Baldasare Galuppi. Visitors can also view an exhibition of original violins, violas, and cellos. The concert begins as the lights dim, transporting you to the golden age of Venetian Baroque. The church's splendid acoustics enhance the experience as the Interpreti Veneziani orchestra plays Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, followed by performances featuring violins, strings, and harpsichord. The event concludes with a musical piece by Marin Marais on the cello. The concert lasts for an hour and a half.
Days of Operation
Vivaldi's The Four Seasons concert is performed on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. If attending on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, you will experience Around Vivaldi: an immersive experience, featuring tributes to Vivaldi and other Baroque and Classical composers.
