Are you looking for a unique experience at a historic location in Venice? Talent and art combine perfectly at this classical music concert in San Vidal Church.
Description
Immerse yourself in a magical atmosphere in Venice and experience classical music in San Vidal Church, established in the 11th century and featuring masterful works by Venetian painters. This church is the burial site of the composer Baldasare Galuppi and hosts an exhibition of original violins, violas, and cellos.
Once the lights dim, the performance will transport you to the golden age of Venetian Baroque. The acoustics enhance the experience, allowing each note to resonate beautifully. The Interpreti Veneziani orchestra performs Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons followed by works featuring violins, strings, and a harpsichord, concluding with a piece by Marin Marais on the cello. The concert lasts for an hour and a half.
Days of Operation
Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons concert occurs only on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, attendees will experience Around Vivaldi: an immersive experience, featuring a tribute to Vivaldi and other composers.
Venice Music Museum
This activity also includes admission to the Museum of Music in the ancient church of San Maurizio, housing a collection of 200 original instruments along with items linked to Vivaldi and other composers.
Museum Opening Hours
The museum is open every day from 10 am to 1 pm and 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Visitors can access the museum at any time during operating hours regardless of the booking date.
