Murano & Burano Self-Guided Tour

Enjoy a relaxing day afloat in the beautiful Venetian Lagoon. We'll travel by boat to two of the most beautiful islands located here: Murano and Burano. On the first island, you'll have the chance to watch a live demonstration of traditional glassblowing.

Boat to Murano & Burano

We'll meet at the indicated time at a central pier in Venice and board our tour boat, which will take us around the beautiful Venetian Lagoon.

After a relaxing cruise across the Venetian lagoon, during which the multilingual guides will teach you about its history, we'll stop on the island of Murano for about 45 minutes to visit a glass factory and watch a live demonstration.

Next, we'll head to the island of Burano where you'll have approximately an hour and a half to explore its colorful houses and cultural heritage. This island is known for its crochet work and lace. You can visit the lace museum and various shops.

We'll regroup at the Burano pier to return to Venice, finishing at either Santa Lucia Pier or Riva degli Schiavioni Pier.

Pickup & Drop-off Points

When making your reservation, select one of the following locations for pickup and drop-off:

Santa Lucia pier : departure at 10 am (Murano and Burano) or 12 pm (Murano, Burano, and Torcello).Riva degli Schiavioni pier: departure at 10:30 am (Murano and Burano) or 12:30 pm (Murano, Burano, and Torcello).

If starting from Riva and finishing at Santa Lucia, an extra fee of 9.50EUR applies. No extra fee for the opposite route. Occasionally, the activity may end at the port of Tronchetto with instructions provided to reach Piazzale Roma.

More Time in Murano & Burano

If desired, you can stay longer on these islands and return in the evening at no additional cost. Please notify us at the start of the tour.

If you wish to stay in Murano longer, leave at 3:45 pm and visit Burano afterwards, returning around 6:45 pm.If you wish to stay in Burano longer, leave at 5:30 pm directly to Venice, arriving around 6:15 pm.
