This ticket grants access to the Maleficia exhibition: inquisition, torture and witchcraft between the 15th and 18th centuries, located inside the Palazzo delle Prigioni. The exhibition unveils the mysteries, secrets, legends, and historical facts that characterized 1,000 years of the Republic of Venice.

The Palazzo delle Prigioni housed one of the oldest prisons in Europe. Between the 15th and 18th centuries, the Tribunal of the Holy Inquisition condemned many women accused of sorcery and magic arts, as well as notable figures like Giacomo Casanova.

Upon entering Maleficia, visitors can explore exhibition areas showcasing original items and accurate reproductions of instruments used to torture alleged heretics, including the garrote and stocks, along with original documents from the period.
