Mexico's captivating region of Los Tuxtlas is full of magic and mysticism. Discover it for yourself when you take our trip from Veracruz, including a visit with the friendly monkeys of Catemoco.
Tuxtlas and Catemaco Trip
At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Veracruz and head south towards Santiago Tuxtla, famous for housing the largest Olmec head in the south of the country. You'll be amazed by this giant stone sculpture!
After exploring Santiago Tuxtla's Benito Juarez Park, we'll proceed to Eyipantla Falls, which has a drop of over 160 feet (50 meters). We will stroll through the lush jungle vegetation and appreciate the natural beauty of the waterfall.
Next, we will travel to the town of Catemaco. Upon arrival, we’ll board a boat for a trip on the Laguna Encantada (Enchanted Lagoon), exploring idyllic islets like Monkey Island and Heron Island, where you will meet the local inhabitants.
After the boat ride, you will have around one and a half hours of free time to discover local restaurants and taste the cuisine. We will return to Veracruz and drop you off at your hotel by 8:30 pm.
