Xalapa & Coatepec Day Trip

At 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Veracruz and drive north to visit the State of Veracruz's capital, Xalapa.

First, we'll visit the El Lencero Museum, a house with historical significance. It once served as an inn and was the residence of former president Antonio López de Santa Anna. The museum features furniture, personal belongings of the president, gardens, and coffee plantations.

Next, we will explore the centre of Xalapa, including the Government Palace, Bishop Guízar and Valencia Cathedral, and the University campus. The tour also includes the Xalapa Museum of Anthropology, showcasing artifacts from pre-Hispanic cultures such as the Olmec, Totonaca, and Huasteca.

Following this, we'll head to Coatepec, known as Mexico's 'magical town' due to its coffee heritage. Here, we will visit the Interactive Coffee Museum, learning about the coffee-making process and tasting various local coffee types.

At 6:30 pm, we'll return to your hotel in Veracruz, expected arrival at 8 pm.
