Xalapa, Xico and Coatepec Tour

We'll begin our tour in Xalapa, the capital of the state, where we'll visit the ex-hacienda El Lencero. We'll explore its coffee plantations and gardens, along with a lake. We'll appreciate furniture, antique objects, and belongings of Antonio Lopez de Santana, a former president of Mexico. After this visit, a panoramic tour around notable places in Xalapa will follow, such as the Government Palace, Cathedral, University Zone, Paseo de los Lagos, and Juarez Park.

Next, we head to Xico, a town rich in traditions, situated at 2,800 meters above sea level. We'll visit the Parish Church of Maria Magdalena, from the 16th century, and view its Neoclassical façade. A visit to the Patio de las Palomas will showcase a collection of over 400 elegantly embroidered dresses of the patron saint of Xico. The streets will be decorated for the patron saint festivities.

As we walk through cobbled streets, we'll enjoy local cuisine, including the famed mole xiqueño. Continuing the tour, we'll reach the Texolo Waterfall and view coffee plantations. Your guide will provide suggestions during this part.

Lastly, we drive to Coatepec, known for its high-altitude coffee at 1,250 meters above sea level. We'll visit the coffee museum for a tasting and learn about coffee types.

Finally, after 11 hours of activity, we'll conclude the tour.
