Tour Details

When booking, you can choose between two different options. Both start at Eurocidade Chaves-Verín Headquarters, include an English-speaking guide, and end back at the starting point.

Boticas & Montalegre Tour

We'll meet at the indicated time to cross the border with Portugal and head towards Alto Tâmega, part of the Trás-os-Montes region.

First, we'll visit Montalegre and its 12th-century fortress. We will also explore the Ecomuseum of Montalegre to learn about the history and heritage of this municipality.

Next, we will visit Boticas, notable for its stone houses and charming streets. Here, we will go to the Rural Museum to learn about Boticas' agricultural past and see traditional tools.

You will have one hour of free time for lunch, and the tour will conclude after a total of 8 hours, returning to the starting point.

Valpaços & Vila Pouca de Aguiar Tour

This option includes discovering Vila Pouca de Aguiar, where we will visit Parque das Pedras Salgadas, a wooded area with uniquely shaped stones.

We will also visit Valpaços and the Wine Museum to learn about the town's winemaking tradition. You can choose which areas to visit!

After 8 hours of exploration, we will conclude this activity back at the starting point.
