Tour Overview

Upon booking, participants can select from two distinct tour options. Both experiences commence at the Eurocidade Chaves-Verín Headquarters, include a guide fluent in English, and return to the original meeting point upon completion.

Montalegre & Boticas Excursion

At the scheduled time, we'll gather to cross into Portugal, making our way to the Alto Tâmega, one of the scenic counties that comprise the enchanting Trás-os-Montes region.

Our first stop will be the village of Montalegre, where we will marvel at its grand 12th-century fortress. Additionally, we will tour the Ecomuseum of Montalegre, uncovering the rich history and cultural heritage of this picturesque Portuguese area.

Next, we will head to Boticas, where the charm of its stone structures and quaint streets will surely captivate you. During our visit, we will also have the opportunity to explore the Rural Museum, learning about Boticas' agricultural heritage and viewing the traditional farming tools that have been preserved over time.

An hour of free time for lunch will be provided before we wrap up the day, returning you to the starting point after approximately eight hours of exploration.

Valpaços & Vila Pouca de Aguiar Adventure

This alternative option invites you to discover the unique features of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, highlighted by a visit to the Parque das Pedras Salgadas, a natural park known for its strikingly shaped stones within a lush forest.

We will also explore Valpaços, home to the Wine Museum, where you can delve into the area's rich viticulture heritage. Feel free to choose the attractions that pique your interest during this segment!

After an invigorating eight hours immersed in discovery, we will conclude the tour, returning to the point of departure.
