When booking, you can choose between two options. Both start at Eurocidade Chaves-Verín Headquarters, include an English-speaking guide, and end back at the starting point.

Chaves, Boticas & Montalegre Tour

The tour begins by crossing the border into Portugal and proceeding to Alto Tâmega, part of Trás-os-Montes. First, we visit Montalegre and its 12th-century fortress, followed by the Ecomuseum of Montalegre to learn about the local history. Next, we travel to Boticas, where we will visit the Rural Museum to learn about its agricultural history. Participants will have one hour of free time for lunch before continuing the tour. Lastly, we visit Chaves to see its medieval castle, a National Monument, the Roman bridge of Trajan, and the thermal baths. We conclude the tour by returning to the starting point.

Chaves, Valpaços & Vila Pouca de Aguiar Tour

This option also includes Chaves and explores other significant places in Trás-os-Montes. We will visit Vila Pouca de Aguiar, exploring Parque das Pedras Salgadas, and Valpaços, where we will see the Wine Museum and learn about the local winemaking tradition. You decide which areas to visit!
