Pont du Gard Aqueduct Ticket
Your ticket grants access to one of the main Roman aqueducts in Southern France, located a half hour from Avignon and Nîmes. Explore the monument independently and the surrounding complex, which includes a museum, a cinema, and an open-air exhibition.
Pont du Gard
This well-preserved Roman aqueduct, constructed in the 1st century AD, can be visited using a skip-the-line ticket. Walk alongside the monument over the Gardon River, which was used as an aqueduct until the 6th century.
Pont du Gard Museum
Under the arches of the Pont du Gard lies an underground museum that showcases the aqueduct's construction. Built by 1,000 men over 5 years, the aqueduct weighs nearly 50,000 tonnes. The exhibition features virtual reconstructions, films, and informative panels.
Memories of the Garrigue
The adjacent open-air exhibition focuses on the history of Mediterranean agriculture and displays remains of the aqueduct.
Pont du Gard Cinema
A documentary about the aqueduct is available at the cinema, combining reality and fiction.
