Gil Eannes Naval Museum
This ticket grants access to the Gil Eannes ship, moored in Viana do Castelo, now a museum. You will explore different facilities of the ship, including the kitchen, operating theatre, chapel, and engine room.
From its first voyage in 1955 to its last diplomatic trip to Brazil in 1973, the vessel served various functions. It assisted cod fishermen on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland and Greenland, acted as a hospital ship, was used as a tugboat, and even served as an icebreaker.
