With this ticket, you'll have access to the Gil Eannes ship, moored in Viana do Castelo, which has been converted into a museum. You will explore the ship's various facilities including the kitchen, operating theatre, chapel, and engine room.
Since its first voyage in 1955 until its last diplomatic trip to Brazil in 1973, this vessel served multiple purposes. It assisted cod fishermen on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland and Greenland, functioned as a hospital ship, a tug boat, and an icebreaker.
