Why Visit the Heidi Horten Collection?

The Heidi Horten Collection is a new cultural institution in Vienna, offering insight into one of Europe's premier private collections. Your ticket grants access to works from artists such as Gustav Klimt, René Magritte, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol, all within a transformed inner-city palace. The museum’s permanent collection is selected based on visitor votes, allowing for audience participation. Year-round, you can view works by Marc Chagall and Yves Klein, alongside rotating temporary exhibitions.

This exhibit reflects the founder's passion for art, featuring German Expressionism, vibrant colors, pop art, and surrealism, culminating in a space that merges painting and sculpture, exploring figure and abstraction.

Light, Sound, & Senses (September 19, 2024 to March 2025)

Experience light as a physical phenomenon and its effects on our senses. This interactive exhibit invites participation to engage with sound and color, featuring an exclusive work by Carsten Nicolai.

Opening Hours

The Heidi Horten Collection is open daily, except Tuesdays, from 11 am to 7 pm, with extended hours until 9 pm on Thursdays. Final admission is 30 minutes prior to closing. Hours may vary.
