Vienna Ghosts and Legends Tour
We will meet at Helmut Zilk Square at the designated time to begin the tour of the mysteries and legends in Vienna.
The first stop will be in front of the Vienna State Opera, where we will discuss the expulsion of the Jews by the Nazis and the building's condition after World War II bombings.
Next, we will walk along Augustinerstrasse to uncover the story of Erzsébet Báthory, known as the 'Blood Countess', who murdered over 30 young women.
We will then pass by St. Joseph's Square and St. Michael's Square, arriving at the parish of the Friars Minor, which still shows cannonball holes from the conflict between the Habsburg Monarchy and the Ottoman Empire.
Our next stop will be the House of the Five Murders and we will visit Am Hof square, the site of public executions.
We will continue to explore the mysteries at Hoher Markt, Heiligenkreuzerhof, Schönlatern alley, and the 'bloody alley', linked to a massacre during the Knights Templar era.
Finally, we will arrive at St. Stephen's Cathedral to discuss the significance of the gargoyles on its façade. The tour lasts an hour and a half and will conclude at the entrance of the cathedral.
