Vienna Sightseeing Bus Details
The bus operates four routes with recorded English commentaries. The main stops include:
Red Line: Starts at stop 2 (History of Art Museum), passing the State Opera, Town Hall, University, Danube Pier, Heroes' Square, and St. Stephen's Cathedral.Blue Line: Starts at stop 1 (State Opera) and goes to the Prater amusement park, Danube Park, Danube Tower, and Kunsthaus museum.Yellow Line: Starts at stop 1 (State Opera) and visits Schönbrunn and Belvedere palaces.Green Line (available June 14 - October 6, 2024): Starts at stop 47 (Votiva Church) and goes to Grinzing and Kahlenberg. This line is available only with 48 or 72-hour tickets.
Most buses have two floors and a convertible roof for optimal views.
How Does It Work?
The Vienna Sightseeing ticket is valid for 24, 48, or 72 hours from first use. Tickets allow unlimited boarding and alighting during this time. A booking confirmation will be sent via email, to be presented on the first bus.
Schedule & Frequency
Buses operate daily from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, with frequencies between 10 and 20 minutes, varying by day.
From April 1, 2025, changes include:
The Green Line will include a stop at Strauss House.The Yellow Line will stop at Westbahnhof.
Special Times
April 5: Red line until 3 pm, blue line until 3:10 pm, yellow line until 5:15 pm.April 6: No service.
