The Vienna Sightseeing Bus provides an efficient way to explore the main landmarks of Vienna through four different routes.

Description

The Vienna Sightseeing bus operates four routes with recorded English commentaries. The main stops are:

Red Line: Starts at stop 2 (History of Art Museum) and follows the Ringstrasse with stops at the State Opera, Town Hall, University, Danube Pier, Heroes' Square, and St. Stephen's Cathedral.Blue Line: Begins at stop 1 (State Opera) and heads to the Prater amusement park, Danube Park, Danube Tower, and Kunsthaus museum.Yellow Line: Starts at stop 1 (State Opera) and travels to Schönbrunn and Belvedere palaces.Green Line (available from 14th June to 6th October 2024): Starts at stop 47 (Votiva Church) and goes to Grinzing village and Kahlenberg hill. Available only for 48 and 72-hour tickets.

Most buses feature two floors and convertible roofs.

How Does It Work?

The Vienna Sightseeing ticket is valid for 24, 48, or 72 hours from first use, allowing unlimited bus access during this period. A start date is requested at booking, but the service can be used within one year of the indicated date.

A voucher will be emailed upon booking, to be shown on the first bus.

Timetable and Frequency

The buses operate daily from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, with frequencies of 10 to 20 minutes, varying by day. Specific changes will take effect from April 1, 2025, including new stops for the Green and Yellow Lines.

Family Ticket

A family ticket is available for 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 to 16 years.
