Monchique Mountains & Bravura Lake Jeep Tour

On this tour, you'll explore the inland region of the Algarve in an all-terrain vehicle, discovering the landscapes of the Monchique Mountains and Bravura Lake.

Tour Options

Upon reservation, you can choose between the following tour options, both starting at 8:30 am and including hotel pickup in Sagres.

Half-Day Tour (4.5 hours)

After hotel pickup, the adventure in the inland region of the Algarve begins. In a 4x4 vehicle, we will explore the Monchique mountains and Bravura Lake, observing the local flora and fauna along with some quaint villages.

From Sagres, we will drive to the surrounding area of Bravura Lake, where you'll enjoy a 15-minute walk along the shoreline, with an opportunity to swim.

Post-swim, we'll proceed to Serra de Monchique, stopping at an abandoned village in the mountains. The group will then visit another area of the mountains featuring a 60-meter high waterfall.

Finally, we will ascend to the highest part of the Monchique mountains for panoramic views of the Algarve.

Full-Day Tour (8 hours)

The full-day tour includes the above itinerary with an additional stop in Monchique for lunch at a local restaurant, featuring regional cuisine.

After lunch, we'll explore the town and its quaint village atmosphere. The tour concludes at the ruins of the convent of Monchique, where we'll learn about its legends, finishing with stunning views of the area.
