We'll meet at the scheduled time at the port in Vila Franca do Campo to embark on a tour of notable natural sites on the island of São Miguel.

First, we will drive through the Furnas Valley to observe fumaroles and geysers of boiling water amidst the volcanic landscapes. At a high point, we will view the crater lake of Furnas and the fumes rising from its waters, located above the volcano.

Next, we’ll head to the village for a traditional lunch featuring a stew cooked in an underground oven, a local specialty. Following lunch, you'll have an hour of free time to explore the narrow streets of Furnas.

We will then visit the Terra Nostra Garden, a botanical garden showcasing a wide variety of native and imported flowers, including over 600 varieties of camellias.

Additionally, we will have the chance to bathe in the volcanic hot springs in the garden, enjoying the mineral-rich waters. At 5:30 pm, the tour will conclude back at the original starting point.
