Why Visit The Fonseca Winery?
The Portuguese banks of the Duero produce exquisite wines in towns such as Vila Nova de Gaia. The Fonseca Winery, established over 200 years ago, is located in this town, just across the river from Porto.
This tour of the wine-tourism center lasts around one hour. During the self-guided tour, you will learn how Porto wines are made, the growing history of the Quinta do Panascal, the aging process of the wines, and explore sustainable wine-making techniques.
The guided tour ends in the tasting room, where you will sample Oporto Fonseca Bin 27. Children will have the option to taste grape juice made from grapes grown in the Duero Valley.
