How are Porto wines made? Discover just this on this visit to the Fonseca Winery in Vila Nova de Gaia, and try a glass.
Why Visit The Fonseca Winery?
The Portuguese banks of the Duero produce exquisite wines in towns like Vila Nova de Gaia. The Fonseca Winery, established over 200 years ago, is located here. This tour of the wine-tourism center lasts around one hour. During the self-guided tour, you’ll learn about how Porto wines are made, the growing history of the Quinta do Panascal, the aging process of the wines, and sustainable wine-making techniques.
The guided tour concludes in the tasting room, where you’ll sample Oporto Fonseca Bin 27. Children can enjoy grape juice made from grapes grown in the Duero Valley.
