How Will the Wine Tasting Work?

This experience occurs at The Wine School in Vila Nova de Gaia, known for its wine-producing culture. You will have 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your chosen option, to taste different types of Portuguese wines, exploring their unique tastes, aromas, and colors. A guide will be available for any questions about the local wine culture.

Demystify Wine Workshop

Choosing this option allows participation in a Demystify Wine Workshop. The workshop covers basic tasting ideas, essential wine concepts, and terminology, along with advice for selecting wines. You'll learn about the history of wine in Porto, its origins, production methods, and the distinct characteristics that set it apart. A review of the 5 wine-producing regions in Portugal and their iconic wines follows. The workshop concludes with a tasting of 5 wines paired with 5 traditional Portuguese products.

Schedule

The tastings are available daily from 11 am to 7 pm, while the Demystify Wine Workshop takes place from 11 am to 6 pm. Note that times are flexible and may vary.
