Wine Tasting at The Wine School

Red, white, and rosé wines await you in this engaging wine tasting session at a renowned establishment in Vila Nova de Gaia. You will have the opportunity to explore various celebrated wines while participating in an enlightening wine workshop that aims to demystify the complexities of this beloved beverage.

How Will the Wine Tasting Work?

This experience unfolds at a prominent wine bar in Vila Nova de Gaia, a picturesque town in northern Portugal, located just across the Duero River from Porto. Known for its rich wine heritage, this locale offers a perfect backdrop for your tasting adventure.

Depending on the selected package, you'll enjoy a 30 to 45-minute session sampling diverse Portuguese wines. This journey will immerse you in a variety of flavors, scents, and hues, enriching your appreciation of wine.

At the conclusion of the tasting, feel free to engage with the guide, who will be available to answer any inquiries regarding the wine-making tradition of Vila Nova de Gaia.

Demystify Wine Workshop

Opting for the workshop allows you to engage in the Demystify Wine Workshop. This session begins with foundational concepts of wine tasting, where you will discover essential wine terminology and tips for selecting the ideal bottle.

Following this introduction, participants will delve into the history of wine in the region, covering its origins, production methods, and what sets it apart from others. Additionally, we will explore the five wine regions of Portugal and their signature varieties.

The workshop culminates in a tasting of 5 selected wines, thoughtfully paired with 5 traditional Portuguese dishes.

Tastings are available daily at your convenience, operating from 11 am to 7 pm, Monday through Sunday.

As for the Demystify Wine Workshop, this experience occurs from 11 am to 6 pm, also available every day of the week.
