Vilafamés Free Tour

On this free tour of Vilafamés, we'll discover the Al-Andalus origins that surround one of the towns in the province of Castellón.

Description

After meeting at Plaça de la Font, we'll begin our free tour of Vilafamés by walking down Carrer de la Font to admire the town's unique red stone houses.

As the tour progresses, we'll reach Roca Grossa, a significant rock formation weighing over 2,000 tons and a symbol of Vilafamés, where we will learn about its local importance.

Next, we'll walk through the area of the flowery balconies until reaching Plaça del Ayuntamiento and the Vilafamés Contemporary Art Museum. Here, we'll stop to observe the historical 16th-century buildings and learn about their stories.

Continuing along the cobblestone streets, we'll head to the highest part of the town for panoramic views, where we will see the Vilafamés Castle, of Arab origin, and the L'Església de la Sang (Church of Blood).

Finally, after 2 hours, we will conclude our tour back at Plaça de L’Església.
