Vilafamés Free Tour

On this free tour of Vilafamés, we'll discover the Al-Andalus origins in one of the most beautiful towns in the province of Castellón.

Description

After meeting at Plaça de la Font, we'll begin by walking down Carrer de la Font, where we will admire the red stone houses that characterize the city.

As we start, we'll arrive at Roca Grossa, a significant rock formation weighing over 2,000 tons, which holds importance for the locals. We will explore its history.

Next, we'll proceed through the flowery balconies to Plaça del Ayuntamiento and the Vilafamés Contemporary Art Museum. Here, we will pause to appreciate the 16th-century buildings and learn about their history.

Continuing on cobblestone streets, we will head to the highest part of the town for panoramic views of the village. This includes spotting the Vilafamés Castle of Arab origin and the famous L'Església de la Sang (Church of Blood).

Finally, after 2 hours, we'll conclude our tour back at Plaça de L’Església.
