Vilafamés Free Tour

On this free tour of Vilafamés, we will explore the Al-Andalus origins of one of Castellón's most beautiful towns.

Description

We will meet at Plaça de la Font and begin our tour by walking down Carrer de la Font. You will see the red stone houses as we proceed.

The tour will lead us to Roca Grossa, a significant rock formation weighing over 2,000 tons, which is a notable symbol of Villafamés. We will discuss its history and importance to the locals.

Continuing, we will walk through streets adorned with flowery balconies to reach Plaça del Ayuntamiento and the Vilafamés Contemporary Art Museum. At this location, we will pause to appreciate the history of the 16th-century buildings.

Next, we will ascend to the highest point of the town for panoramic views. This will be a great photo opportunity where we will see the Vilafamés Castle of Arab origin and L'Església de la Sang (Church of Blood).

Our tour will conclude after 2 hours, as we return to Plaça de L’Església to say our goodbyes.
