Vilafamés Free Tour

On this free tour of Vilafamés, we will explore the Al-Andalus origins of one of Castellón's most beautiful towns.

Description

We will meet at Plaça de la Font and start the free tour of Vilafamés by walking down Carrer de la Font. Along the way, we will view the distinctive red stone houses.

As the tour progresses, we will reach Roca Grossa, a significant rock formation weighing over 2,000 tons, which is a symbol of Vilafamés. We will discuss its importance to the locals.

Continuing our walk among the flowery balconies, we will arrive at Plaça del Ayuntamiento and the Vilafamés Contemporary Art Museum. We will pause to explore the history of the old 16th-century buildings.

As we navigate the cobblestone streets towards the highest part of the town, we will enjoy panoramic views of Vilafamés and spot the Vilafamés Castle, of Arab origin, and the L'Església de la Sang (Church of Blood).

After 2 hours, we will conclude our tour and say goodbyes at Plaça de L’Església.
