Cucunubá Hiking Tour

This hiking route through Cucunubá offers a journey to discover the landscapes of the Ubaté Valley in the Eastern Cordillera of Colombia. The tour starts at 8 am at the main park of Ubaté, leading you through a 5 km hike to explore the biodiversity of the Cundinamarca department. Keep an eye out for the approximately 180 different species of birds in the area, including deer, Andean condors, and eagles.

Along the way, you will visit the Cucunubá lagoon and walk through the Colombian páramo, learning about myths and ancestral legends of the region. The tour includes a visit to a majestic waterfall that was historically used by natives for various activities. Additionally, you will discover the significance of wool production in Cucunubá, known for producing the best textiles in Creole sheep wool.

The tour concludes by 2 pm back at the meeting point in Ubaté, providing a memorable experience amidst the natural beauty of the Eastern Cordillera of Colombia.
