8-Day Tour of Nicaragua

On this 8-day tour through Nicaragua, we will explore colonial towns, volcanoes, and natural parks.

8-Day Tour Details

Day 1: Managua

Your journey begins at Managua Airport, where we will transfer you to your hotel. You can explore Nicaragua's capital or relax.

Day 2: Managua – León

After breakfast, a guided tour of Managua's historic center includes the Plaza de la Revolución and the Laguna de Tiscapa viewpoint. We'll drive 2 hours to León for lunch and a walking tour of the city's architecture, including Catedral de León.

Day 3: León

The morning is free to enjoy León before an afternoon of sandboarding on Cerro Negro Volcano. We will hike for 1 hour to the top and then descend at speeds of up to 37 mph for 10 minutes.

Day 4: León – Granada

We'll travel to Granada and enjoy a guided tour of its central plaza and churches. Lunch will feature vigorón. Later, we'll take a boat tour of Las Isletas and watch the sunset.

Day 5: Granada

Choose between three options: relax at the hotel, hike in the Mombacho Volcano Cloud Forest, or hike Masaya Volcano at sunset.

Day 6: Granada – San Juan de Oriente – Mirador de Catarina – Granada

We will visit San Juan de Oriente for a pottery workshop, then head to Mirador de Catarina for views of Laguna de Apoyo. We'll also attend a local cooking class in Granada.

Day 7: Granada – Laguna de Apoyo – Granada

Spend the day at Laguna de Apoyo with water activities, followed by lunch.

Day 8: Laguna de Apoyo – Managua

After breakfast, we will transfer you back to Managua for your airport drop-off.

Return Flight

Your return flight should depart no earlier than 2 pm on the final day. It takes about an hour to get to the airport from our last stop.
