Description
At 8 am, pick-up will be in Managua for a 2-hour minibus journey to San Jorge, where a ferry will take you to the freshwater island of Ometepe. Experience the vastness of Lake Nicaragua, historically known as "the sea of fresh water" by Spanish conquistadors.
Upon arrival, visit the Chaco Verde Nature Reserve, notable for its diverse fauna, including the congo monkeys. Explore the reserve until about 1 pm when free time will be provided for lunch at one of the park's restaurants.
Following lunch, head to the Ojo de Agua pools for a relaxing swim in volcanic waters. An exploration of pre-Columbian artifacts at the El Ceibo Museum will also be included.
The excursion concludes with a return to the ferry and travel back to Managua in the minibus, arriving at your hotel around 7 pm.
