Description

We'll start this adventure by picking you up at your hotel in Managua at 6 am. This excursion will lead us to the Somoto Canyon.

During the comfortable minibus ride, we'll make a quick stop to rest, and you can have breakfast. After approximately 4 hours on the road, we'll reach the gorge, where a knowledgeable guide will provide the equipment for our adventure.

Our journey begins with a 1.2-mile (2 km) hike through knee-deep water. Then, we'll board a boat for a scenic ride to the entrance of the Somoto Canyon.

Upon arrival, you'll have 3 options: marvel at the viewpoint, take a refreshing swim in the Coco River, or ride on a giant floatie for 1,312 ft (400 meters) down the canyon. Whatever you choose, you're guaranteed to have a memorable experience!

By 2 pm, our adventure will conclude with a traditional lunch including rice, beans, salad, and chicken.

To finish our excursion, we'll return to your hotel in Managua, arriving around 7 pm.
