On this trip to the Los Haitises National Park, you will cruise along Samaná Bay and explore a prominent area in the Dominican Republic.

Los Haitises Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel and depart for Los Haitises National Park. Upon arrival, we will kayak through the subtropical rainforest. During the boat trip, expect to see mangrove areas and the associated biodiversity.

After navigating the inland channels, we will reach the open sea to view karstic mogotes, which serve as habitats for birds like pelicans, gannets, and herons.

Next, we will visit a cave featuring petroglyphs left by indigenous groups. Please be cautious of the endemic Boa constrictor outside.

We will then head to Hotel Paraíso Caño Hondo, situated amidst nature with access to various natural pools of the Jivales River for swimming.

Following this, a 4x4 tour will take us to the top of Redonda Mountain for panoramic views of the jungle.

At the end of the day, we plan to return to your hotel between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

This day trip includes pickup from hotels in La Romana and Bayahibe. Pickup in Bayahibe starts at 5 am, while pickups in La Romana begin at 5:30 am.
