Sugar Field Buggy or Quad Bike Tour

Hop aboard a buggy or a quad bike and get your adrenaline pumping as you drive through the spectacular sugar cane fields in the south of the island.

Activity Details

We'll pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time and hit the road towards the town of Benérito. During the trip, you'll enjoy a ride past the colorful houses characteristic of the south of the Dominican Republic and other Caribbean constructions.

Stopping at a local ranch, we'll leave the minibus behind to start an exciting buggy tour, during which we'll go over uneven and muddy terrain. You'll get to see extensive sugar cane plantations, visit a weighing station and taste this local product with the farmers. You will also visit a typical batey, a rural community of sugar cane workers, and learn about their daily life.

Then, we'll go to the Chavón River for a refreshing swim, followed by tasting tropical fruits, mamajuana, coffee, and cocoa at the ranch. At the end of the tour, we will head back to the hotels, arriving approximately 3 hours later.

Types of Buggies

When booking, you can reserve a buggy for one person or for two people; both options use the same two-seat vehicle.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels located in La Romana and Bayahibe. If you are staying at Bahia Principe La Romana and Bouganville hotels, we will pick you up at the lobby of the Bahia Principe La Romana hotel, as the Bouganville hotel does not allow vehicle entrance.
