Visit the most pristine corners of the Dominican Republic with this tour of the beaches of Saona Island.
Tour Details
At the designated time, we will pick you up and head to the Bayahibe pier, where we will board a boat to Saona Island.
During the cruise, we will stop at Palmilla beach within Cotubanamá National Park. On reaching Saona Island, you will have free time until lunch.
Once ready for lunch, we will visit the fishing village of Mano Juan for a traditional seaside menu featuring local specialties.
Post-lunch, we will proceed to the sea turtle conservation centre to observe the incubation and care processes of the turtles.
Next, we will explore Los Flamencos beach and enjoy the endemic vegetation by the Caribbean Sea. We will then board the boat to navigate the surrounding mangroves.
During the trip, expect to see schools of tropical fish and other marine life, with an opportunity to swim near the area's starfish, ensuring care not to disturb their habitat.
We will conclude with a toast of Dominican rum, followed by your return to the meeting point, spanning a total of 8 to 11.5 hours.
