Tour of Saona Island Beaches

Visit the most pristine corners of the Dominican Republic with this tour of the beaches of Saona Island from La Romana or Bayahibe. Paradise awaits!

Tour Details

Between 7 and 9 am, pickup will occur, followed by travel to Bayahibe for boarding a boat to Saona Island.

The cruise includes a stop at Palmilla beach in Cotubanamá National Park. Upon arrival at Saona Island, the itinerary includes visits to La Caleta and Mano Juan beaches, swimming, and enjoying the coconut trees until lunchtime.

Lunch consists of fish or chicken, rice, meat, salad, pasta, and a non-alcoholic beverage. Post-lunch, the tour will proceed to the fishing town of Mano Juan and the sea turtle conservation center for a learning experience about turtle care and incubation.

Next, we will visit Los Flamencos Beach, followed by a boat tour through the black, button, white, and red mangrove areas.

Participants can expect to see schools of tropical fish and have the opportunity to swim among starfish, adhering to guidelines to avoid disturbing their habitat.

The experience concludes with a toast featuring Dominican rum, followed by return to the meeting point, arriving between 5 and 6:30 pm.

Note that pick-ups are not included in Playa Nueva Romana, primarily around Bahia Principe La Romana and Bouganville hotels. Guests outside this area will be picked up at the Total gas station in La Romana instead.
