Whale Watching in Samana

We will depart from your hotel in La Romana at 6 am. Following a two-hour bus ride, we will arrive at the port of Las Cañitas in Samana. Then, we will commence a two and a half-hour boat ride to observe the humpback whales of Samana, which can reach up to 50 feet in length and weigh up to 30 tons.

The trip concludes in Cayo Levantado, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch and relaxation on the beaches. At 2:30 pm, we will board the boat for the return trip to the port.

We will return by bus to La Romana, arriving at your hotel by 6 pm.

Whale watching

Whales are unpredictable animals. The number of whales encountered will depend on factors such as marine currents, weather conditions, and wind direction.

Who can take part in the activity?

The minimum age to participate is 3 years old. Pregnant women and individuals with heart problems are not eligible to participate.
