Whale Watching in Samana

See the giant humpback whales of Samana Bay up close. With this trip from La Romana, you will also visit the island of Cayo Levantado.

Activity Details

We will depart from your hotel in La Romana at the indicated time. After a 2-hour bus ride, we will arrive at the port of Las Cañitas, located in Samana Bay.

From there, we will start a two and a half-hour boat ride to observe the famous humpback whales of Samana. These whales can reach up to 50 feet in length and weigh up to 30 tons.

The trip concludes in Cayo Levantado, where we will have a buffet lunch while relaxing on the beaches and enjoying the landscapes. Afterward, we'll board the boat again and sail back to the port.

From Las Cañitas, we will return by bus to La Romana, arriving at your hotel 11 to 12 hours later.
