Day Trip to Oxapampa

We'll meet at 8 am at Leopoldo Krausse Avenue in Villa Rica. The road trip to the charming village of Oxapampa will take approximately an hour and a half.

Upon arrival, we will begin a guided tour of Oxapampa to learn about its history, founded by Austro-German immigrants, making it the second colony of its kind after Pozuzo.

We will walk through the village to see wooden buildings with European-style architecture, including the notable church of Santa Rosa.

Next, we will visit a handicraft store for souvenir shopping before heading to the Floralp dairy plant where we will learn about their variety of cheeses and yogurts.

Following the dairy plant, we will enter the Wharapo, a mill that extracts sugar cane juice for traditional drinks, where you can taste some beverages.

After the factory visit, we will explore the Selva Encantadora de Oxapampa (Enchanted Jungle of Oxapampa) and visit the Tunki Cave, known for its stalactites and stalagmites.

Finally, we will stop at a ranch for free time to participate in activities such as canoeing or horseback riding. We will return to Villa Rica and drop you off at around 6 pm.
