Discover the beauty of central Peru's rainforests on our Perené Valley Tour. You'll see beautiful waterfalls, reserves for protected species and villages in just one day.
Perené Valley Tour
At 8 am, we'll meet on Leopoldo Krausse Avenue in Villa Rica and begin our tour of the Perené Valley.
On our way, we'll cross the central jungle and pass the Cerro de Sal mine, historically significant for Indigenous communities. A stop at the Tinkuy Viewpoint will allow us to see where the Chanchamayo and Paucartambo Rivers meet and where the Perené River begins.
We will then visit the Machetero Kingdom, dedicated to the protection of a giant rodent. After this, we will proceed to an Asháninka community where locals will share their culture and traditions.
Following this cultural insight, we will venture into the jungle to visit the Bride's Veil and Bayoz Waterfalls, two main attractions in the Perené Valley. A boat trip on the Perené River will allow us to enjoy the scenic riverbanks.
Our tour will conclude at the Zhaveta Yard, also known as the Butterfly Garden, where we can observe various species of insects and mammals, including monkeys, turtles, paiches and macaws.
After 10 hours of touring the Perené Valley, we will return to Villa Rica and drop you off at the starting point.
