Perené Valley Tour
At 8 am, we'll meet up on Leopoldo Krausse Avenue in Villa Rica to begin our tour of the Perené Valley.
On our way, we'll cross the central jungle and pass the Cerro de Sal mine, historically significant for Indigenous communities. A stop at the Tinkuy Viewpoint will allow us to see where the Chanchamayo and Paucartambo Rivers meet and where the Perené River originates.
Next, we'll visit the Machetero Kingdom, dedicated to the protection of the giant rodent, before heading to an Asháninka community to learn about their culture and traditions.
Following this, we'll explore the Bride's Veil and Bayoz Waterfalls, two of the main natural attractions in the Perené Valley. We will also take a boat trip on the Perené River to enjoy the scenic environment.
Our final stop will be at the Zhaveta Yard, or Butterfly Garden, where we will see a variety of species, including monkeys, turtles, paiches, and macaws.
After a 10-hour tour, we'll return to Villa Rica and drop you off at the starting point.
