In this activity, you'll discover all the secrets to a leg of Spanish ham and try one of the star products of the Spanish food scene. Delicious!

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Paseo Delicias ("Delicias Street") to visit a ham drying factory in Villares de la Reina.

Upon arrival, we'll proceed to the Experience Room to watch an introductory video about the factory's history and its founder. Key processes such as cutting, salting, curing, and processing of Iberian ham will be detailed.

We will learn to differentiate between various types of Iberian ham based on the race of pigs and their diet. This masterclass will enhance your understanding of these distinctions.

Next, equipped with the necessary gear, we will tour the factory to discover how this fine ham is made. Salamanca is a well-known province in Spain for its culinary traditions, particularly in sausages.

We will return to the Experience Room for a tasting of 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham and a selection of sausages, complemented by a glass of wine made in the Salamanca mountain range. This will be a memorable experience.

After a 2.5-hour visit, we will conclude our tour at the factory's main door.
