Trakai Day Trip

The adventure begins at 11 am in Odminiu Square in Vilnius. From there, we will embark on a 40-minute bus journey to Trakai, a picturesque town surrounded by five lakes. During the ride, you can listen to your audio guide in English, providing insights into the rich history of this area.

Upon arrival in Trakai, you will have 2 hours and 30 minutes of free time to explore either the city or the castle. If you decide to visit the castle, make your way to the shores of Lake Galvé, where Trakai Castle stands majestically on a small island. This fortress is noted as the most beautiful medieval stronghold in Lithuania.

To reach the castle, cross the drawbridge, emulating the passage of the historic Teutonic Knights. Inside, you'll find grand rooms adorned with medieval furniture, costumes, and maps. Climb up to the Grand Duke's Tower via the wooden stairs to continue your exploration, as you immerse yourself in the essence of the Middle Ages.

As our visit comes to an end, we will regroup at the designated meeting point in Trakai and begin our return journey to Vilnius. We expect to arrive back in the Lithuanian capital by 3 pm.
