Discover a typical Lithuanian medieval city with this day trip to Trakai. You'll visit its castle and stroll through its fairytale houses.

Trakai Day Trip

We'll meet at 11 am in Odminiu Square in Vilnius and set off on a 40-minute bus journey to Trakai, a town surrounded by five lakes. During the trip, an audio guide in English will provide historical information.

Upon arrival in Trakai, you will have 2 hours 30 minutes of free time to explore the city or the castle. If visiting the castle, proceed to the shores of Lake Galvé, where you will see Trakai Castle on a small island, recognized as the most beautiful medieval fortress in Lithuania.

Access the castle by walking across the drawbridge. Inside, you can explore grand rooms featuring medieval furniture, costumes, and maps. You may also visit the Grand Duke's Tower and climb the wooden stairs to see the rest of the rooms, immersing yourself in the Middle Ages.

After exploring, we'll regroup at the designated meeting point in Trakai for our return journey to Vilnius, arriving back at 3 pm.
