Discover a typical Lithuanian medieval city with this day trip to Trakai. You'll visit its castle and stroll through its fairytale houses.

Trakai Day Trip

We'll meet at 11 am in Odminiu Square in Vilnius and set off on a 40-minute bus journey to Trakai, surrounded by five lakes. An audio guide in English will provide historical information during the trip.

Upon arrival, you'll have 2 hours 30 minutes of free time to explore either the city or the castle. If visiting the castle, head to the shores of Lake Galvé to see Trakai Castle situated on a small island. The castle is regarded as the most beautiful medieval fortress in Lithuania.

To reach the castle, walk across the drawbridge. Inside, you can explore grand rooms furnished with medieval furniture, costumes, and maps. You may also climb to the Grand Duke's Tower using wooden stairs to access additional rooms, immersing yourself in the Middle Ages.

At the end of the visit, we'll regroup at our designated meeting point in Trakai for the return journey to Vilnius, arriving back at 3 pm.
