Cueva del Silencio Hike

We will meet at the scheduled time in front of the Church of Viñales. The hiking route will follow the Palmarito trail through the Viñales Valley.

Our trek will begin in the valley where we will observe the mogotes, distinctive rock formations. Along the way, we will view extensive tobacco and coffee plantations. We will stop to see the drying process of tobacco leaves, learn about cigar-making, and have the opportunity to try an authentic Cuban cigar.

Next, we will arrive at the Cueva del Silencio. Inside, we will descend nearly 328 feet (100 metres) to a lagoon located between the rock walls.

We will spend half an hour exploring the cave before emerging into daylight and heading to a nearby lake for a swim. You will have free time to enjoy the scenery and grab a bite to eat.

The hike will conclude as we return to the starting point after a 5-hour adventure.
