Day trip to Anchieta
At 7 am, we'll leave your hotel and head south along the road parallel to the coast. After a 1.5-hour drive, we'll arrive in Anchieta, named after José de Anchieta, a Spanish priest who came to Brazil in 1553 to assist in the evangelization of Native Americans. He learned their language and opposed the abuses of colonizers.
We'll visit the National Sanctuary of San José de Anchieta, which includes the church of Our Lady of the Assumption and a former Jesuit residence from 1579, a significant site for local Catholics.
Next, we'll proceed to the Iriri area, where you'll have 2 hours free to explore Costa Azul and Areia Preta, two beaches known for their clear waters. During this time, you can sunbathe, snorkel, swim, or dine at nearby restaurants.
Finally, we will return from the coast of Iriri to your hotel, arriving at 2 pm.
