On this day trip starting in Kampala, we'll visit the source of the Nile River, the Ssezibwa waterfall, the Mabira forest, and Jinja.
Day Trip to the Source of the Nile River
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kampala at 7:30 am and drive to see significant natural wonders of the area, including waterfalls, forests, and the source of the River Nile.
First, we'll visit the Ssezibwa waterfall. Aside from enjoying the waterfall, we'll explore the legend surrounding it, believed to possess healing powers.
Next, we'll proceed to the Mabira Forest, where we will take a walk through this reserve to learn about various endangered species and share stories about the explorers seeking the Nile's source.
Midday, we'll arrive in Jinja for a traditional-style meal. After our meal, we'll visit the source of the River Nile, taking a boat ride upstream to the location first reached by Englishman John Speke at Lake Victoria.
After the tour, we'll return to your hotel in Kampala and conclude by 2:30 pm.
