Don't miss out on seeing rhinos during your trip to Uganda. On this excursion from Kampala, we will take a walking tour of the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala at 7 am and drive north towards Murchison Falls National Park, home of the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
After approximately three hours of driving, we will reach the sanctuary and embark on a walking tour to observe these endangered animals. Rhinos were declared extinct in Uganda in 1983 due to the civil war, but the Wildlife Authority was established in 1993 to protect wildlife. The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary opened afterward, with the first rhino born in 2009. During our walk, we will aim to see some of the 30 rhinos that inhabit the area and learn about their species.
After the tour, you will have free time to rest and an option to participate in additional activities, such as a Nile River boat ride.
Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Kampala, concluding the tour at 4 pm.
