Lake Wanaka Islands Cruise

When booking this activity, you can choose between 3 different ways to enjoy Lake Wanaka. All of them start in Roys Bay at the indicated time:

Cruise to Ruby Island (1 hour)

If you choose this option, we'll set sail on a catamaran at 1 pm. After approximately 15 minutes of sailing, we'll arrive at Ruby Island, where you can disembark to take a pleasant walk around the island and take photos from some of its many viewpoints.

Cruise to Stevensons Island (2 hours)

This option departs from Wanaka at 3 pm. We'll sail for approximately 45 minutes until we reach Stevensons Island. There, you can take a half-hour guided tour of the island to discover the native animals and plant life, or explore on your own. The views of the Southern Alps from Stevensons Island are notable.

Cruise to Mou Waho Island (3.5 hours)

This option includes a visit to Mou Waho Island, a nature reserve. At 9 am we'll meet in Wanaka and sail to the island. Upon arrival, we'll hike for 2 hours to see the natural treasures of Mou Waho. We will climb to the lookout point for a view of the region and learn about the local flora and fauna, geology, and history.
