This day trip includes a pick-up from your hotel in Warsaw, followed by a 3 hour and 30-minute drive to O?wi?cim, Poland. This town witnessed the actions of the Nazis between 1940 and 1945, with the construction of Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau concentration camps. The camps have been converted into the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, established in 1947.
Your guided tour will cover the living quarters of inmates, including prison blocks and barracks, as well as the crematoriums and gas chambers where over one million people were killed. The tour includes the railway tracks that transported many prisoners to their death.
This experience is meant to honor those who suffered and educate visitors to prevent such events from repeating. After the guided tour, you will drive back to Warsaw, arriving at your hotel 15 hours after pickup.
