Auschwitz Day Trip

  • 15 Stunden

Visiting the memorial and museum of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp is essential to understand the horrors of the Second World War. Discover its history on this day trip from Warsaw.

Auschwitz Day Trip

Many have described the ordeal of the Nazi concentration and extermination camps of World War II, but the horror defies words. Experiencing the museum and memorial of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp is crucial for understanding the tragic events of this era. We will pick you up at your hotel in Warsaw at the indicated time and head to the concentration camp.

After approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes of driving, you'll arrive in O?wi?cim, a small town in southern Poland, which witnessed horrendous acts between 1940 and 1945. The Third Reich constructed concentration and extermination camps here, known as Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, which became the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum in 1947.

Your guided tour will take you to see the areas where inmates lived, including prison blocks, barracks, crematoriums, and gas chambers where over one million people were killed. You will also see the railway whose tracks ended at Auschwitz, transporting many prisoners to their deaths.

This day trip is a deeply moving experience, serving to honour those who suffered and lost their lives and to educate visitors to ensure that such events are never repeated.

After the guided tour, we will drive back to Warsaw, arriving at your hotel 15 hours after pickup.
