Majdanek Concentration Camp & Lublin Private Tour
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Warsaw and head to Lublin. Once there, we'll make our way to the Majdanek concentration camp.
Entering this virtually untouched historical site, we'll learn about the brutal history of Europe, as this site was constructed by officer Himler to house Polish prisoners of war and later became an extermination camp. The tour includes visits to the crematorium ovens, the gas chambers, and the mausoleum where victim ashes are held.
We'll then drive to the historic center of Lublin, where you will have an hour of free time for lunch. Afterward, we'll stroll through the old town, learning about the old Yeshiva study center and the pre-war Jewish vestiges. Facts about the Talmud and the Hebrew-speaking world will be shared during this exploration.
Next, we head to Lublin Castle, a medieval stronghold from the 12th century. We will climb the tower for views of the city and visit the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, known for its frescoes by the master artist Andrej Ruthenian.
After leaving the fortress, we will return to Warsaw, arriving at your hotel after a total of 10 hours.
