If you have just arrived in the capital of the United States, a free walking tour of Washington DC is an ideal way to discover the city. We'll see iconic spots such as the National Mall!

Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll start this free walking tour of Washington DC at the World War II Memorial, located in the park on the National Mall. After learning about its history, we'll stroll along The Pool, ending at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial.

Next, we'll walk to the shores of the Tidal Basin, where we will see the monuments dedicated to Martin Luther King and Thomas Jefferson. As we explore this area, we'll notice Washington's cherry trees.

Our next stop is the George Washington Monument, a 169-meter (555-foot) obelisk dedicated to the first President. After discussing its history, we'll walk around the various museums on the National Mall. At the end of this park, we'll see the impressive Capitol.

Finally, we will conclude this 2-hour tour in The Ellipse Park, where we'll admire the White House in the distance.
