Day Trip to Dynjandi, Arnarfjördur & Bíldudalur

Our adventure begins promptly at 9 am on Þórsgata in Patreksfjordur, where we will embark on a journey to unveil the stunning landscapes of the Westfjords.

The first destination will be the quaint fishing village of Tálknafjördur. As we wander its charming streets, we will uncover the village’s traditions and delve into its fascinating history while soaking in stunning vistas.

Following this, we will proceed to Bíldudalur, recognized as the capital of the Westfjords. Here, not only will we enjoy views of the Arnarfördur Fjord, but we will also explore the intriguing Sea Monster Museum. This visit will unveil the various legends surrounding the area and its tales of mysterious aquatic creatures...

After our museum tour, we will venture towards the spectacular Arnarfjördur Fjord, where we’ll stroll amidst its breathtaking terrain, making our way to Dynjandi, one of Iceland's most awe-inspiring waterfalls. Have your cameras ready; this site is destined to impress!

Upon completing our hike, we will return to our minibus and head towards the Dynjandisheidi Mountain, tracing the steps of the first Scandinavian voyager to sail to Iceland. The name Floki might sound familiar—especially to fans of the popular series Vikings!

As we wind our way back, we'll pass along the scenic shores of Bardaströnd Beach before concluding our explorations in Patreksfjordur. Our enriching day will come to an end around 3 pm when we return to our departure point.
