Látrabjarg & Raudasandur Day Trip
The tour starts at 9 am at the chosen meeting point, heading to the Látrabjarg cliffs, located 60 kilometers to the south. En route, enjoy views of the Patreksfjordur fjord.
Upon arrival, take a walk to see one of the largest seabird colonies globally. Meet puffins, known for their colorful beaks, which will feature prominently in your photographs.
Admire the cliffs, standing over 400 meters high and extending 14 kilometers along the coast. As you walk along the gorges, the guide will share fascinating local stories, including those of a shipwreck and an abandoned plane.
The tour continues to Raudasandur, a beach of fine reddish sand over 10 kilometers long. Enjoy the scenery and stroll along the beach, contrasting the black cliffs with the deep blue ocean.
The final stop is the Hnjótur Heritage Museum, where you can learn about Iceland's ancient history, lifestyle, and culture. The tour concludes with arrival in Patreksfjordur at approximately 3 pm.
