Sri Lanka 8-Day Tour

On this 8-day tour through the best of Sri Lanka, we'll visit European heritage towns, natural landscapes, tea fields, ruins, and the Buddha's tooth.

Tour Description

Day 1: Colombo – Negombo

We’ll pick you up from the airport in Colombo and head to Negombo, a fishing village 12 kilometres north, where we'll have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Negombo – Dambulla – Habarana

After breakfast in Negombo, we'll visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a World Heritage Site since 1991, and later arrive in Habarana for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Habarana – Polonnuruwa – Sigiriya – Habarana

We start with a visit to Polonnuruwa to explore its ruins, then proceed to Sigiriya, where we can climb Lion's Rock and see the Golden Maidens frescoes. Return to Habarana for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Habarana – Matale – Kandy

After breakfast, we depart for Matale to learn about spice cultivation and then continue to Kandy to visit the Temple of the Tooth. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 5: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

We head to Nuwara Eliya for a walk through the tea plantations. Free afternoon for exploration or visiting tea factories. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Yala

After breakfast, we travel to Yala National Park for a safari, seeing various wildlife. Return to lodge in Yala for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Yala – Galle – Kalutara

We will explore Galle and its fortress, then proceed to Kalutara for dinner and the final night.

Day 8: Kalutara – Colombo Airport

Breakfast in Kalutara before returning to Colombo for airport drop-off.

Important

For trips in September or October, visit Lunugamvehera National Park instead of Yala.

Price Info

The minimum number of participants is two. For solo bookings, options will be provided for private tours or alternative dates. Odd-numbered bookings must be made in two parts, indicating all travelers are together. Early arrivals will require an extra night's payment.

Flights

Arrive at the airport before 11:30 am on the first day. Late arrivals incur a transfer fee of 65USD per person.
