Sri Lanka 8-Day Tour

On this 8-day tour through Sri Lanka, experience European heritage towns, natural landscapes, tea fields, ruins, and the Buddha's tooth.

Tour Description

Day 1: Colombo – Negombo

Upon arrival at Colombo airport, we proceed to Negombo, a fishing village 12 km (7.4 miles) north. Dinner and overnight stay follow.

Day 2: Negombo – Dambulla – Habarana

Breakfast at the hotel in Negombo precedes our visit to the Dambulla Cave Temple, a World Heritage Site since 1991. We will then head to Habarana for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Habarana – Polonnuruwa – Sigiriya – Habarana

Breakfast is followed by a visit to Polonnuruwa, the second capital of Sri Lanka. We proceed to Sigiriya to climb Lion's Rock and view historic sites. Return to Habarana for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Habarana – Matale – Kandy

After breakfast, we explore Matale and learn about spice cultivation before heading to Kandy to visit the Temple of the Tooth. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 5: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, we travel to Nuwara Eliya for a walk through tea plantations. Free afternoon for exploring or visiting a tea factory. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Yala

After breakfast, we head to Yala National Park for a safari. Return to the lodge in Yala for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Yala – Galle – Kalutara

After breakfast, we visit Galle and explore its fortress. Arrive in Kalutara for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Kalutara – Colombo Airport

Breakfast in Kalutara before transporting to Colombo airport to conclude the tour.

Important

During September or October, Yala National Park will be closed, and on Day 7, we will visit Lunugamvehera National Park instead.
