10-Day Safari around Namibia

Description

Day 1: Windhoek

Upon arrival in Namibia, you will be transferred from Hosea Kutako International Airport to your hotel. After settling in, a guided tour of Windhoek will follow, lasting 3 hours. Key sites include the Church of Christ, Sam Nujoma statue, old fortress, and Supreme Court. The day concludes back at the hotel.

Day 2: Windhoek – Namib Desert

Post breakfast, embark on a 4x4 safari south towards the Naukluft Mountains in the Namib Desert. After local accommodation check-in and lunch, a walking tour will commence to witness a desert sunset from Elim Dune. Dinner and rest follow.

Day 3: Namib Desert

Early breakfast precedes a day focused on the Namib Desert. Highlights include a walk through Deadvlei, climbing Big Daddy dune for an overview, and a visit to Sossusvlei for a picnic-style lunch. The day includes a visit to Sesriem Canyon before returning to the campsite for dinner.

Day 4: Namib Desert – Swakopmund

After breakfast, travel to Swakopmund, stopping at Solitaire for famous apple pie. Continue along the coast, passing notable sites. The day ends at a Swakopmund hotel.

Day 5: Swakopmund

Day 5 is free for personal exploration of Swakopmund, including options like sandboarding or quad tours.

Day 6: Swakopmund – Damaraland

Post breakfast, travel north along the Skeleton Coast, visiting Zeila Shipwreck and Cape Cross. End the day with dinner and rest in Damaraland.

Day 7: Damaraland

After an early start, explore Damaraland's landscapes and learn about desert elephants. Visit Twyfelfontein to see petroglyphs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to the hotel for rest.

Day 8: Damaraland – Etosha National Park

Travel to Etosha National Park via Galton Gate. Safari at Okaukuejo Campsite follows, with opportunities to see various wildlife. Dinner and rest at the campsite conclude the day.

Day 9: Etosha National Park

Dedicate this day to exploring Etosha National Park for animal sightings. Spend the night at Onguma Campsite.

Day 10: Etosha National Park – Windhoek

On the final day, after breakfast, the return to Windhoek includes a visit to a leopard reserve and a local market for souvenirs. Return to Windhoek airport is before 5 pm.
