Yangtze River 5-Day Cruise to Chongquing

Sail one of the longest rivers in the world on this 5-day cruise along the Yangtze River to the city of Chongqing. You'll enjoy China's scenery.

Cruise Details

Day 1: Departure from Yichang

At 7 pm, meet at the Maoping Pier in Yichang to board the cruise ship. After settling into your cabins, at 9 pm, the ship will set sail along the Yangtze River away from Yichang.

Day 2: Three Gorges Dam & Xiling Gorge

In the morning, enjoy a breakfast buffet aboard the ship and arrive in Sandouping to cross the locks of the Three Gorges Dam, the largest dam in the world. We will then continue to Xiling, the longest section of the gorges, nearly 44 miles (66 kilometers). In the afternoon, if conditions allow, we'll visit the tribe of the Three Gorges.

Day 3: Wu & Qutang Gorges

After breakfast, take a traditional Chinese boat to Goddess Stream. Later, explore Wu Gorge and then head to the Qutang Gorge, the narrowest part of the Yangtze River Gorges. The afternoon is free to enjoy on board.

Day 4: Shibaozhai, Fengdu, or Yuhuang Shengdi

Enjoy breakfast on board, then, depending on river conditions, visit Shibaozhai, Fengdu Ghost City, or Yuhuang Shengdi. Shibaozhai has a famous wooden temple. Fengdu features demon sculptures built over 2000 years ago, while Yuhuang Shengdi hosts the Jade Emperor Pagoda. End the day with dinner on the ship.

Day 5: Chongqing

On the last day, have an early breakfast and conclude the cruise at the Port of Chongqing at 8:30 am.

Itinerary Adjustments

The cruise itinerary may change due to weather conditions. It is recommended to book a flight or train from Chongqing no earlier than 3 pm. If storms occur, arrival may be at Wanzhou instead of Chongqing, with bus transportation provided to downtown Chongqing.
