Yangtze River 5-Day Cruise to Chongquing

Sail one of the longest rivers in the world on this 5-day cruise along the Yangtze River to the city of Chongqing.

Cruise Details

Day 1: Departure from Yichang

At 7 pm, meet at the Maoping Pier in Yichang to board the cruise ship. At 9 pm, we will set sail along the Yangtze River.

Day 2: Three Gorges Dam & Xiling Gorge

After a breakfast buffet aboard, we will arrive in Sandouping to cross the locks of the Three Gorges Dam, the largest dam in the world. We will then head to Xiling, the longest part of the Gorges, about 44 miles (66 kilometers) long. If conditions allow, we will visit the tribe of the Three Gorges in the afternoon.

Day 3: Wu & Qutang Gorges

After breakfast, we will go on a traditional Chinese boat to Goddess Stream. We will then explore Wu Gorge and proceed to Qutang Gorge, the narrowest part of the Yangtze River Gorges. The afternoon is free for personal activities.

Day 4: Shibaozhai, Fengdu, or Yuhuang Shengdi

Following breakfast, we will visit either Shibaozhai, Fengdu, or Yuhuang Shengdi based on river conditions. In Shibaozhai, we will see its wooden temple. The Fengdu Ghost City features unique demon sculptures. In Yuhuang Shengdi, view the Jade Emperor Pagoda. We will conclude the day with dinner on the ship.

Day 5: Chongqing

On the last day, we will have an early breakfast and end our cruise at the Port of Chongqing at 8:30 am.

Itinerary Adjustments

Itinerary modifications may occur due to weather. Book transportation from Chongqing after 3 pm. If storms arise, arrival may be at Wanzhou, with bus transport provided to downtown Chongqing.
