Famen Temple & Qianling Mausoleum Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Xi'an and embark on a 1.5-hour journey to the Famen Temple, a significant Buddhist site housing the relics of Shakyamuni. The guided tour of the Famen Temple will last approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, allowing us to explore its pagoda and learn about its importance as a sanctuary for followers of Buddha.

Following the temple visit, we will have a typical Chinese lunch at a local restaurant featuring authentic regional specialties. Afterward, we will proceed to the Qianling Mausoleum, established 1300 years ago at over 1000 meters (3280 feet) altitude. We will walk the "spiritual path" to the mausoleum entrance, marked by two stone lions.

The guided tour will provide insights into the House of Li and include visits to the tombs of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu, as well as the Prince Yide's Mausoleum, showcasing murals of palace life. The tour concludes with a return to your hotel in Xi'an, approximately 8 hours after the initial pickup.
