Khiva Private Tour
We'll meet at your hotel in Khiva to start our private tour of the ancient capital of Chorasmia.
We'll first walk to the Itchan Kala quarter, surrounded by 12-meter high stone walls. Here, we will admire significant examples of Central Asian architecture, including mosques, mausoleums, and madrasas while learning about the city's history.
Next, we'll visit the Mohammed Amin Khan Madrasa and its minaret, the largest in Khiva and Central Asia, followed by the 19th-century Mohammed Rahimkhan Madrasa.
The tour continues through Itchan Kala to see the Kunya Arch and the 18th-century Juma Mosque, the most important mosque in Khiva. Our next stop is the Tash-Khovli Palace, known for its blue and white majolica decor.
Next, we'll visit the Pakhlavan Makhmud mausoleum, an architectural complex with a crypt, and the Islam Khoja Minaret, a notable tower visible throughout the city.
The walking tour will last a total of 6 hours and will conclude at this last location.
