Join us on this 2-day private trip to the Aral Sea and the ship cemetery to explore significant areas of Uzbekistan, including Sudochye Lake and the necropolis of Mizdakhan.

2-Day Trip to the Aral Sea

Day 1: Nukus - Aral Sea

We will pick you up at your hotel in Nukus at 8:30 am for a 450-kilometer (280-mile) journey to the Aral Sea.

Our first stop will be in Kungrag district to explore the local bazaar. Next, we will continue to Sudochye Lake, where we will learn about the various birds that inhabit the area, with over 230 species documented.

Finally, we will arrive at the yurt camp near the Aral Sea for our overnight stay.

Day 2: Aral Sea - Ship Cemetery - Nukus

We will have breakfast overlooking the Aral Sea before visiting the ship graveyard of Moynaq, an area rich in history and sights of the former Aral Sea.

We will uncover the reasons for the water's disappearance and the story behind the abandoned ships. Our next visit will be to the Mizdakhan necropolis near the Gyaur-Kala fortress, learning about its significance as a pilgrimage site.

At the end of the day, we will return you to your hotel in Nukus between 4:30 and 5 pm.

The activity includes one night of accommodation in an Aral Sea yurt camp, featuring spacious tents with a capacity of up to 4 people, allowing for a unique experience in nature.
