Cayo Santa María Cuban History Day Trip

The day begins with pickup at your hotel in Cayo Santa María, starting the exploration of Santa Clara and Remedios.

Our first stop is the Sugar Agroindustry Museum, which explores the history and impact of the sugar industry in Cuba, detailing production processes that shaped the nation.

Next, we visit Remedios for a guided tour. We will walk through the cobblestone streets, observe colorful facades, and appreciate the town's colonial architecture. Remedios, founded between 1513 and 1524, is one of the oldest settlements in Cuba.

We then visit a traditional tobacco factory to learn about the Cuban tobacco tradition and observe craftsmen at work.

In Santa Clara, we will visit Che Square, which features the historic Mausoleum and the Armored Train Monument, significant sites from the Cuban Revolution.

After these visits, we'll enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant before continuing our exploration of Santa Clara’s local charm.

The day concludes with a return to your hotel in Cayo Santa María after an eleven-hour excursion.
