Embark on an immersive journey to Mefou National Park and the Ebogo Forest Reserve. This experience allows you to interact with the renowned chimpanzees of Cameroon and enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Nyong River.

Cameroon Nature Reserve Journey

Your adventure begins as we pick you up from your Yaoundé hotel at 8 am and set off towards Mefou National Park, celebrated as one of Cameroon’s finest natural sanctuaries.

Established in 1999, Mefou National Park serves as a wildlife haven where you will have the opportunity to observe gorillas, chimpanzees, and various monkeys in their native surroundings. Upon arrival, you’ll receive insights into the vital conservation efforts aimed at safeguarding these at-risk species.

Following our exploration of Mefou, our next destination is the Ebogo Forest Reserve, perfectly situated along the Nyong River. To truly appreciate this lush landscape, we’ll board a boat that glides through the heart of the enchanting forest.

Once we return to land, we will meander towards the cocoa fields of Ebogogo. Here, you'll have the chance to meet local residents and gain an understanding of their traditions.

By this point, you are likely to be ready for a meal! We’ll savor a traditional lunch amidst the forest, an ideal opportunity to refresh before setting off on a nature trail. As we wander, be on the lookout for the impressive sapele trees and the array of bird species that inhabit the area.

As the day draws to a close, we will return by minibus to your hotel in Yaoundé around 4 pm.
