Central Peru: 5, 6 or 8-Day Tour

Day 1: Pucallpa - Puerto Inca

Upon arrival at the airport or bus station in Pucallpa, we'll travel to Puerto Inca, a two-and-a-half-hour drive away. After checking into the hotel, enjoy free time to explore Puerto Inca. At 6 pm, we'll gather for a tasting of local cocktails before dinner featuring various typical dishes.

Day 2: Puerto Inca - Huánuco - Puerto Inca

Starting at 7:30 am, we will tour the Huánuco region. This includes a visit to a local fish farm and a swim in the Pintuyacu River. After lunch with grilled fish, we’ll hike through the jungle, returning to Puerto Inca for dinner and a salsa class.

Day 3: Puerto Inca - Amazon Rainforest

We’ll depart early for the village of Quimpichari and hike for an hour into the Amazon Rainforest. Lunch will be prepared on a bonfire with our catch before we set up camp in the jungle.

Day 4: Amazon Rainforest - Puerto Inca

After breakfast, we’ll visit the caves of La Viuda and hike to the Viuda ravine for free time to swim and fish. We'll return to Puerto Inca for farewell snacks, cocktails, and music.

Day 5: Puerto Inca - Pucallpa

The final day includes breakfast and transport to the airport or bus station for your return journey.

6-day tour

The additional day includes a visit to the Río Hirviente (Boiling River) and the Indigenous Mayantuyacu community, meeting the shaman for local rituals and having lunch before returning to Puerto Inca.

8-day tour

This option adds a boat ride on the Pachitea River and a visit to an Indigenous Ashaninca community, along with an extra day at the Quimpichari campsite for jungle exploration and optional activities like birdwatching.

Accommodation & meals

The tour includes 3, 4 or 6 nights at Los Incas Lodge and 1 or 2 nights in tents at the Quimpichari campsite. All meals are provided, featuring breakfast (coffee, bread, eggs) and main courses (pasta or rice with meat or fish) for lunch and dinner.
