Lake Yarinacocha Excursion
Pickup is at 9 am from your hotel in Pucallpa, with transportation to Puerto Callao, the capital of the Peruvian district of Yarinacocha.
From Puerto Callao, board a boat for a tour of Lake Yarinacocha, observing various species of animals and plants of the Amazon rainforest. There is a chance to see local dolphins.
After a two-hour ride, visit a Shipibo-Konibo Indigenous community, known for preserving their ancestral customs. You will have the opportunity to admire their traditional handicrafts, including garb and ceramics.
Following the community visit, continue sailing on Lake Yarinacocha with two scheduled stops: one at the village of Caserío 11 de Agosto (also known as Caserío de Cesteros), where local women craft baskets, hats, and fans from vegetable fibers, and another at San José Beach.
Conclude with a hike through the jungle to observe local plants and animals. After the hike, return to Puerto Callao for a bus transfer back to your hotel in Pucallpa, with arrival around 1 pm.
