Yarinacocha & Pacacocha Lakes Excursion

Yarinacocha and Pacacocha are important lagoons in the Amazon region of Ucayali, home to exotic animals like jaguars and sloths as well as Indigenous Peoples who preserve their traditions.

The adventure begins at 9 am with a hotel pickup to drive to Yarinacocha, located 2 kilometers from Pucallpa. The first stop will be to see La Lupuna, a tree over 200 years old and nearly 70 meters high, with insights into its significance for the community and ecosystem.

Next, we visit a sugar cane mill to learn about liquor production and taste the products. Following this, we'll take a walk along the shores of Lake Yarinacocha to observe various tree and plant species.

A jungle walk will lead to a boat ride on the Pacacocha lagoon, where we'll note the local wildlife and stop at a wildlife lodge.

We will continue to Puerto Callao in Yarinacocha to visit the Maratíshobo handicraft center for traditional Indigenous handicrafts. The tour concludes with a return to Pucallpa, arriving around 1 pm.
