Yarinacocha & Pacacocha Lakes Excursion

Yarinacocha and Pacacocha are notable lagoons in the Amazon region of Ucayali, home to both exotic animals and Indigenous Peoples who preserve their traditions.

The adventure begins at 9 am with a hotel pickup. We will drive to Yarinacocha, located 2 kilometers from Pucallpa, where we will visit La Lupuna, a 200-year-old tree. This stop provides insights into its ecological significance.

Next, we will explore a sugar cane mill to learn about the liquor production process and sample the products. A walk along the shores of Lake Yarinacocha will allow us to appreciate the local flora.

We will then proceed with a jungle walk to observe the vegetation before a boat ride to Pacacocha lagoon. During the boat tour, we will focus on the local fauna and visit a wildlife lodge.

Our journey continues to Puerto Callao in Yarinacocha, where we will check out the Maratíshobo handicraft center, showcasing Indigenous craftsmanship. Finally, we will return to Pucallpa, arriving around 1 pm.
